Paula facilitates personal growth through an integrative lens and uses evidence-based treatments tailored to meet the unique needs of each person. She has an inclusive approach and welcomes persons from various backgrounds, including neurodivergent, immigrants, BIPOC, and LGBTW2SIA+. She provides counselling to address grief, eating disorders, life transitions, and addictions. She provides tools to improve communications and improve relationships. Paula works in mental health settings including addiction centers and non-profit.
She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. She is member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22104). She brings unique training and expertise in strengths-based approaches, Trauma (EMDR), Parts Work, Psychodrama, Gestalt, Somatic, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Christina brings 20 years of experience in the counselling field, with a Master’s degree in counselling and registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS #11978)
Christiana is a first-generation Portuguese Canadian, navigating challenges tied to family dynamics cultural and gender identity. She works through the healing journey, including self-acceptance, embracing identity, and participating in inclusive communities of acceptance and belonging.
Her approach to counselling is warm, empathic, and collaborative, rooted in anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed principles. It integrates various counselling methods, including Family Systems, Narrative and Feminist Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She tailors sessions to meet each one’s unique needs and circumstances with the primary objective of empowering and helping clients uncover their strengths and realize their full potential.
She works with individuals, couples, families, and children from diverse backgrounds, including 2SLGBTQIA+folks, neurodivergent people, those with disordered eating, trauma and abuse survivors, individuals dealing with anxiety and depression, as well as those coping with loss and grief, and separation and divorce. She has been assisting local and international students adjust to school, life transitions, and cultural differences.
Beyond counselling, she supervises clinical counsellors and practicum students at the diploma and master’s levels. Additionally, She teaches counselling courses and has served as a department head of a counselling therapy program.
Gabriele Geremia Bucco (she/her) is completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Capilano University, where she also earned her Communication Studies Diploma in May 2021. Gabriele was placed on the Dean’s List for four consecutive terms and placed on the Merit’s List for the Spring 2023 Term at Capilano University. Currently, she works as a Mental Health Worker for the Portland Hotel Society (PHS) serving the Downtown Eastside community. Gabriele is Brazilian and has been living in Vancouver since 2018, a city she now also calls home. Her family and friends from Brazil and Canada are her source of unlimited love and motivation to continue studying and working towards achieving her goals. Gabriele wishes to obtain a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in order to keep serving vulnerable communities and individuals facing mental health challenges.
